15 SEPTEMBER 2012
PRACTICAL INFO DOCUMENTS
GENERAL FACTS :

The "Douze heures de Huy" rally is organised by Trajectoire. The race is part of the FIVA schedule and counts for the FIVA's Prestige Challenge.

The rally will be held on Saturday 15 September 2012, departing from Huy.
The administrative and technical checks will take place on the evening of Friday 14 September.

The "Douze heures de Huy" rally is organised in the form of a regularity rally on open roads.
The average speed will remain under 50 km/hour.

The 2012 winner will have top ranking in the Revival category.

PARTICIPANTS

2 categories are created :

Revival
This category corresponds to the original spirit of the era. The driver is alone on board from start to finish, and has to combine the roles of both driver and navigator.

However, since the safety of drivers and spectators is always an essential consideration for us, the average speed will be lower than in the "Equipage" category and yellow arrows (RAC-style) will be placed at tricky sections of the course. Finally, there will be a few boards to show, by way of reference, the ideal passing times.

Equipage (Crew)
The second category allows the driver to take part alongside a navigator, as is the case in all other rallies.

THE CIRCUIT / SCHEDULE

The rally centre (gathering point, reception facility, departure gates, race management office, finishing line, prize-giving area, etc.) is located on Avenue Delchambre in Huy, by the banks of the Meuse.

The circuit, designed by Robert Rorife, is made up of 3 identical loops of +/- 150 km. The route is located mainly in the Condroz region, and will lead participants back, at the end of each loop, to the rally centre in Huy.

The race will be run exclusively on road surfaces.

As was traditionally the case, a circuit map will be published two weeks before the rally, but without any sports reference (control points, time points, regularity sections). The aim is to enable drivers in the Revival category to memorise the circuit and spectators to discover the control points and viewing areas.

The control points and time points will be organised as they were originally, meaning that the driver will be required to leave his car and have his card punched by the controller.

ELIGIBLE VEHICLES / CATEGORIES

1969 was the lat year the original "Douze Heures de Huy" were organized. Therefore, we've decided to limit the eligibility of the cars to the ones manufactured that particular year. However, the eligibility criteria has been extended to the 31st December 1974. With the additional condition that the model and the engine remained unchanged in comparison with the existing model in 1969

All vehicles must have an FIA Car Pass or an FIVA passport

3 engine-specification categories have been created:

Up to 1300 cm³
1301cm³ to 2000 cm³
2001 cm³ upwards

ENTRYFEE

Revival category: € 575
Equipage category: € 785

Rally plates, race numbers, road book, insurance and access to the competitors lounge are included. Both lunch and dinner are offered and also the drink during the prize giving ceremony and the souvenirs are included.

SPECTATORS

Even beyond the world of sports fans, the rally was also a great success with the wider public. Our great ambition is to do everything to bring back this atmosphere around the race.

With this in mind, the route map, showing viewing points, will be published in the local press two weeks before the rally and downloadable from this site.

For those wising to stay in Huy, the participants will pass under the departure gates four times during the day.

At the rally centre, a public bar will be open to all.
